Coastal Conservation Association – CCA, has proven time and again that anglers are the best stewards of the marine environment. We work to protect not only the health, habitat, and sustainability of our marine resources, but also the interests of recreational anglers and their access to the resources they cherish. With a growing, well-informed, active membership, CCA continues the mission launched by those 14 visionary anglers so many years ago.

The Billfish Foundation – TBF, was founded in 1986 with a mission of conserving billfish worldwide by the late Winthrop P. Rockefeller along with Dr. Eric Prince and a group of fifty founding members. TBF’s keystone program, the traditional tagging program, was begun in 1990. Today, it has grown to be the largest international billfish tagging program in the world.

TBF’s initial focus was on research and educational programs. In 1990, TBF’s focus was expanded to include advocacy for responsible fisheries management, recognizing that influencing decision makers with sound science is a crucial step in successful billfish conservation.

Chattahoochee Riverkeepers, is a nonprofit organization that works to ensure clean, plentiful water in the Chattahoochee River and its tributaries. Their mission is to “educate, advocate and secure the protection and stewardship of the Chattahoochee River, including its lakes, tributaries and watershed, in order to restore and conserve their ecological health for the people and wildlife that depend on the river system and in recognition of the important ecosystem functions provided throughout the region and planet.” We participate in the annual Sweep the Hooch clean up program where we collect over 5-tons of trash every season.

Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehab Center

The Turtle Hospital opened its doors in 1986 with four main goals: 1) Rehab injured sea turtles and release them back to their natural habitat. 2) Educate the public by visiting local schools and attending outreach programs. 3) Conducting and assisting with research aiding sea turtles (in collaboration with state universities). 4) Working toward environmental legislation making the beaches and water safe for sea turtles.

The Turtle Hospital (Hidden Harbor Marine Environmental Project, INC.) is a 501 (c)3 charitable corporation. The Hidden Harbor Motel provides buildings and space needed to house and care for the sea turtles. The Turtle Hospital offers Guided Educational Programs to the public 7 days-a-week.
