Few groups understand that moment better than Colorado Women Flyfishers. In 1997, a handful of women in Denver set out to build the community they wished they had found when they first picked up a fly rod. Three decades later, CWF has welcomed beginners and seasoned anglers alike, filled countless clinics, hosted years of monthly meetings, and organized trips through Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, and beyond. The friendships formed along the way are its proudest catch.

Salt Skins is raising a glass, and a net, to CWF’s 30th anniversary with a custom-branded collection built for women who fish through every season.

The Blue Bombshell started as a brown trout, a real one, brought to hand on a cold river, photographed, and set free. Its spots are its fingerprint, and we kept every one of them exactly where nature placed them. Then we turned up the volume, washing the pattern in a blue bright enough to spot from the far bank. Browns are known for their attitude, especially in fall, when spawning season brings big fish out of hiding and onto the end of a well-swung streamer. Bold fish, bold color. We let the fish do the talking.

Inside, a quilted, padded lining traps warmth while the stand-up collar shields your neck from the wind funneling down the valley. Two zippered pouch pockets hold your hands, your phone, or that box of streamers you have been saving for exactly this kind of morning.
