Founded in 1997, Colorado Women Flyfishers has spent three decades educating, encouraging, and building community for women in the sport of fly fishing. What started in Denver now reaches members across many states, with clinics, trips through Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, and beyond, monthly meetings, and the kind of friendships that only form standing knee-deep in a cold river.

To celebrate CWF’s 30th anniversary, Salt Skins is proud to partner with the club on a collection of custom-branded products, built for the women who have made the river their second home.

The Brown Trout Puffer Jacket is made for the season browns love most. The pattern comes from a real brown trout, caught and released back into the river it calls home. Look closely, and you will see the buttery gold flanks fading to olive along the back, the bold black spots, and the scattered red and orange spots ringed in pale halos. Brown trout spawn in the fall, when the water turns cold and the big fish get bold, which makes this the jacket for frosty mornings, late-season drifts, and every trip you refuse to cancel because of the weather. This design was not generated. It was caught.

A quilted lining and stand-up collar hold in the warmth when the wind comes down the canyon, and two zippered pouch pockets keep your hands warm and your essentials secure. Available in 7 sizes, it is easy to find the right fit for layering over a fleece or wearing on its own around town.
